A day time in Srirangam

A day time in Srirangam

Srirangam has been declared by our Great Scholars and Savants alike as a place where concentration of all 108 Divyadesams as they are so called.,having been sung by Vaishnavite Azhwars. In other words the living and worshipping of Lord  Ranganatha in his holy place is equal to the visit to the other 106 temples which spread throughout the world. (Divyadesangal 108-,106 on Earth and Thirupparkadal and Paramapadham) This spiritual place had been a sanctuary for all 12 Azhwars and for Acharyas like Nathamunigal, Alavandar, Uyyakindar, Manakkal Nambi, Ramanuja, Koorathazhwar, his son, Parasara bhattar, vedantha Desika and Manavalamamunigal.

The day dawn at Srirangam as other places but with a difference in exuding singularly unique aroma of Bhakthi permeating every particle. It is a routing sight to see more number of women folk trekking their way to the huge temple to offer worship at the shrines of Pirati Ranganayaki first and Lord Ranganatha and other places of worship thereafter within the complex as per established customs and practices

while great Excellence atmosphere pervades everywhere in the precincts there are other specified  places which serve as a meeting spot for women to discuss and compare notes of Mundane matters like seeking marriage alliances and exchanging views about lecture that was heard the previous right and an appreciation or criticism of it. Or at least something about routing culinary or about and exotic preparation learnt by her daughter from North India and so on.  An independent conversation can also be heard between a married young girl and elderly women with allegations by the former about her Mother in law, may be one sided or may be true even. The women advises the girl to be patient and to bear with it any difficulty for sometime and consoling her that with the grace of Lord Ranganatha and His divine spouse things would turn out to be good eventually in answer to her prayers.

In this way my Grandpa brief the morning time in Sri Rangam, which is entirely different from other holy places.

Om Namo Narayana!
